DC Trip Part 1

Burlin and Anna went to Washington, D.C. over Easter Weekend. A few years ago Burlin decided he would like to take each child to D.C. - it has affectionately become known as the "planes, trains, and automobile trip".  However, Amber made her trip to D.C. with her senior class, so Anna was the first to make this trip with her daddy.

Evidently, this was a great time to see D.C. for the beauty, but due to the Cherry Blossom Festival and Easter celebrations, there was an influx of visitors that weekend!  Unfortunately, there were a few things they wanted to tour, but due to the long waiting lines, it was just not practical.

Here are some hihglights of things they did see!

This was the line to see the monument

The Lincoln Memorial:

The White House:

The annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds interfered greatly with getting a nice picture!
