ARStudio is born!

We have been very fortunate to have a huge barn .... it has served many wonderful purposes! It is divided into two main parts, which we have nicknamed the "little side" and the "big side".  When the girls were younger, the little side became a great playhouse where they would play school, house, etc..  Then, we needed more space for bikes, balls, sandbox toys, sleds, mowers, etc...  So, it became mostly a utility shed.  It seems like we are continually trying to rearrange this space, and find the best way to get everything to fit!  (A good excuse to clean out!)  Last year we added a "cat cage" in a portion of this side to give Pookey and Prince a safe place to stay outside the house.   

 The bigger side has been through several revisions through the years as well. Several years ago I came across some old barn siding which Burlin used to make a wall, dividing the space into two rooms.  He spent a lot of time making a wonderful game room with ping pong and air hockey tables.  This left a smaller section for tools, misc. items, and larger, hard to store items (like hunting stands).  The workshop was upstairs in the loft.  The latest change has actually become more of a major overhaul!  Anna has been taking senior pictures, and she is in the process of creating her own studio.  So, the gameroom is now upstairs in the loft, Burlin's workshop and tools are now together in a much smaller space, and we have created a studio!

This is a piece from the barn we tore down.  It will make a nice "fence" prop!

We still need to put barn siding over the window, but for now she is using this piece of fabric to keep out the light.

Well, most of the work is completed.  Anna plans to hang sample pictures on the wall so her work is visible.  Of course, she is always looking for props, backdrops, equipment, and most of all more experience!  I am hoping it will work out for her to take a photography class soon, and she needs  good editing software.  Her desire is to have a nice apple laptop......unfortunately, I think she is on her own for that one!
