We had a wonderful vacation in South Carolina and Georgia! It was good to see friends and family, and just relax!
I never seem to take any pictures while visiting with my parents! This year we didn't even go to any berry patches or fruit orchards, but, Burlin, Ben, and Pa-Pa did manage to spend a day golfing.
We spent one afternoon in Gaffney to visit with our friends the Schneiders. The highlight of Audrey's trip south is to visit with her "BFF" Jennifer! It was nice spending a few hours just "catching up".
Amber and Burlin spent a lot of time on Craigs List looking for Amber a car. God provided the perfect one for her.
We spent July 4 at the beach with my sister! What a beautiful setting to watch the fireworks ..... and very thrilling to be right under all the action!

Burlin's main goal in visiting my sister (now at the beach!) is to fish in the ocean as much as possible. We brought an extra pole so Audrey or Ben could join in the fun. We also dug around in the sand to hunt for sand dollars......hard to believe, but the six years we lived near the ocean we never tried that!! I actually got in the water and joined in the hunt. It took a while for me to allow my toes to feel their way through the sand looking for these coveted creatures, but being in the water was quite refreshing!
Matthew caught this off the pier in his casting net!! Great job! It is neat to see Taylor and Matt starting to really enjoy fishing!
Another highlight of our few days in Georgia was Alan taking us to see some special sights so Audrey could take pictures for her BCSA competition! He was so patient with her as she took dozens of pictures with two different cameras! Such a beautiful area.....reminds me of living in Charleston! We really miss the beauty of living in a coastal region.
On the trip back to Ohio, we stopped at Cumberland Falls in KY to hike, view the falls, and get some more landscape pictures!! It was extremely hot and humid, but enjoyable.

It was fun to relieve our special time together through your eyes! You got some great pictures! I can't wait until you all come back again for more 4th of July/fireworks/fishing fun! :) I love you! So glad you are back to blogging!
