There are six main trails in Hocking Hills - about 25 miles of hiking! We managed to complete all six, most of which we hiked both the upper and lower rims. It is hard to get a true impression of the trail conditions from these pictures....some parts were wide and easy, others very narrow and treacherous! There were many times when it was even difficult to know for sure which way the trail went as there were often little or no markings to follow, and some places where the trail had been washed away by flooding!
Ash Cave:
This mama and her baby were right next to our walking path! She was busy eating, but would look up to check on her baby across the path...this was one of those times I wish I had Anna's nice camera!
Cedar Falls:
Snapping turtle in the water...enjoying a lazy day
Conkles Hollow:
Sometimes it is best to just not ask "why?"....
Sorry...we haven't quite mastered the "take your own picture technique"...(I should get lessons from Anna, she is the master of self portraits!)
Had to LOL at the last pic of Bur!!! you did pretty well on that one . . . but Bur???? What a funny look!! Doesn't even look like him! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou captured some great photos!!! Beautiful! But 25 miles of treacheroous hiking does not soound like a romantic anniversary get-away to me!!! Looks like Burlin loved it though!!!
BTW, Happy Anniversary!
