It was such a joy this year to spend Christmas weekend at Nanny and Pa-Pa's!! It was a whirlwind trip for sure, but very enjoyable! Although this was not our first Christmas in Greenville, it was the first one in a very long time! This was also the first Christmas that Amber spent away from her family, as she had the privilege of spending it with the Ours Family!! I am so grateful to my sister for allowing her to live there for the next 10 weeks, as she is fulfilling her student teaching requirement at the Christian School (where Joe attends and Tiffany teaches.)
Another first for us was getting to see the lights on Roper Mountain. It was very difficult to get good quality pictures from inside a car, but we tried our best! We all enjoyed it. Next time we will have to take advantage of the hot chocolate station!
My mama is so beautiful! Even though her body is bound from the ravages of disease, her spirit is not!! She simply radiates the beauty and love of her precious Savior!!
My daddy patiently and successfully mastering his cooking skills!!
The typical beautiful and abundant table !!
It was a wonderful, but short weekend! Hopefully we were not too much "stress and mess" while we were there! Compliments to my dad for a great decorating job too!
such a sweet post! It brought tears to my eyes thinking of how truly beautiful Mom is inside and out and thinking of all that Dad has learned to do in these last several years in learning to take over some of the responsibilities that Mom has so lovingly and expertly done all these years! We are truly blessed to have them as parents!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry Amber was not there with you for Christmas -- but we enjoyed having her here with us! It has been a lot of fun getting to know her!
