HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
We lazily brought in the new year! It was nice to enjoy a quiet day at home, relaxing, snacking, and playing games!
This year I made a punch with white grape juice and ginger-ale!
Ben's favorite!
Burlin made peanut brittle!!
Buffalo Chicken Dip!
Birthdays!!
We celebrated two birthdays in January: Burlin and Abby (17)
Abby chose to go bowling for her birthday this year! We enjoyed eating pizza while suffering through a game of bowling! (I say suffering because Burlin would not allow the "bumpers" to be put up - to the disappointment of many!)
Grandma and Grandpa Sherrick met us back at home for some cake and ice cream.
CREATION MUSEUM:
Audrey had requested a trip to the Creation Museum for her birthday, but we couldn't get the timing to work in October, so Burlin decided to go there for his birthday!
Someone caught us unawares in a picture!!
SPAGHETTI WAREHOUSE:
While attending Cedarville College, we went to The Spaghetti Warehouse in Dayton. We have had fond memories of that place, so this is where Burlin wanted to enjoy his belated birthday meal!
Unfortunately, we had an hour wait, but Audrey took plenty of pictures, not just inside the restaurant, but outside as well. There were so many neat pictures and displays everywhere to captivate the attention!
Dinner was good, though not quite what I had remembered! Our table was actually inside an old trolley car, so that was fun!
It was a very memorable day, and we had a wonderful time! :)
Way to catch up! So proud of you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved reading about your New Year's Eve! It looked like y'all had a cozy evening. But, is that a cat I see in Burlin's arms???????
My fav punch is that one with white grape juice and ginger ale! It is so easy and tastes special, but not to sweet! We make it for piano recitals and graduations and probably for an upcoming wedding! :)
We also had Buffalo chicken dip this year -- thanks for sharing your recipe!
We used to eat at Spaghetti Warehouse too. It was so good!
Thanks for catching us all up!
